My music instructor decided to slip us one yesterday. During a typical boring lecture he was discussing how we would have to write a simple composition in order to pass the class–fair enough. We didn't expect him to throw a joke around, because normally he's a tightwad. His simple remark was, "Now I don't expect you guys to do too well on your composition, but just as long as it makes sense you're fine. I really hope none of you guys write any shit like this:"

And we shit bricks. I love music humor.

Thanksgiving Break

It's about time this damn vacation came. I hate the first semester of school (I always have). There, you get two breaks: Thanksgiving Break (or Fall break in high school), and Christmas Break (or Winter break in high school, thanks to the PTA). Typically I'll be bored out of my absolute fucking mind during a break, but now that I'm free to go wherever the hell I want I've planned to travel. Not during this break mind you but Christmas break (more time). How? Heeeelllloooooo refund check. I love FAFSA.

Professionalism

I almost forgot this but as a precedent to my major, Entertainment Industry with emphasis in production, I'm required a part-term service of amateur music refining. In other words, I'm required to take other people's music and make it look professional. How do I go about doing that? The school provides Finale 2010 and Sibelius 6 as well as Tapspace Virtual Drumline, Sibelius Essentials, and Garritan Jazz and Big Band. If there are any musicians here who would like a professionalized copy of their music for free, ask. I've got a ton of free time on my hands.
