Lately I've been teaching myself C++ and I thought I'd try and learn OpenGL stuff along the way. But after realizing that most content is out of date online I decided to just stick with C++ for now. I use Dev-C++ and everything else uses VC++ for setting up OpenGL and stuff and it's difficult getting shit to compile. I found the red OpenGL book at a Barnes and Noble for $50. $50! For a book! I've payed 50 or so for a few books but it's a reference guide, not even a book to teach you. It's also hard to find decent documentation on Windows programming. Half Price Books just isn't cutting it anymore. Please whoever's publishing these books knock the price down atleast $10 I have no money for Monster and WoW!!!

Yeah… shit is really hard to compile especially when you don't know the source code…

C++ isn't that hard if you take a class in HS for that sort of thing. Does your school offer C++ as a class?

I'm taking Computer Science in High School but before I got into the class they changed from C++ to Java. I like Java, but I think I'd be better off in the future if I knew C++. I'm just impatient about waiting till college =X
