Today I discovered that I am about 10000% more productive if I disconnect from the internet. As such, I got around to making some good progress on Dominos 3, and even went so far as decided to video the game.
Here are the aforementioned videos:Video 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNn0AEn48YMVideo 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xVRsDiv584(64D youtube tag makes sad face and goes grumpy when used twice. I can only assume that tag becomes jealous of its twin and decides not to cooperate)Video 1This first video displays the 3 tutorial levels, which were the most recent things I added. I could possibly improve them by adding some text to help explain, but there is also a text explanation earlier (though people might be silly and just skip through the text explanation, and then complain that they don't understand how to play the game (however the text explanation does include a lot of fun pictures as well)).This video ends abruptly because my camera ran out of memory (comes from not deleting anything off of it for half a year or so).Video 2This second video shows the new levels and obstacles. These exciting new obstacles include thrilling triangles, that can swing back and forth; magnificent rotating octagons that rotate; and cliche bouncing springs! All good platformer games have springs in them after all. What to doWhat to do, as in, what other stuff I will do to the game before it is complete:-more levels-more player skins (video 2 shows off the pirate skin, complete with beard and hat and eyepatch and goate and golden tooth and imaginary pirate sound effects, arr!)-music! (still not got sorted out how I will get this part done)Well that should do for now. Would you look at that, an actual blog about game development on a game development website (supposedly).Cheerio for now, I shall return to eating my scrumdiddlyumptious crumpets. How very British of me.:)
I will try and get hold of a 1st gen iTouch to test it on some time soon.
I think I've just about finished work on all the more boring aspects of development. Just gotta make lots of levels now, and make it sparkle :)And given time, a PC version should be coming your way eagly!
