Hey all,
Bloopie has had some real work being done one it lately, I have compleatley re-written a lot of the old code, I have optimized affair bit of the code and it has better performance now, as it can run at a better frame rate now.Alpha 2 should be completely ready my December, so that I have plenty of time to get everything ready and working properly before I post it.Alpha 2 is a massive upgrade from alpha 1. Alpha 1 relayed more on the Bomber Man 3D engine by Game Fortress more then, but now is running at lest 60% on my own 3D engine, I think the hardest so far with the engine, has been the 3D physics, I do not plan to fully show them off in Alpha 2, well, from what I have planed at lest, there is not to many physics in the engine, but most of what I should need to get though the rest of the games development.I am thinking about making a Tech Engine that I could distribute under some sort of license, I was thinking about making it these holidays and for some of the spare time that I have got.I would make it for me to use so that game development can be a bit quicker or maybe I could just give it to some of my friends to use if they need help with making a game -Maybeit is only an idea at this stage.I will have some screen shots by the end of the week - If I remember that isAnd I have run into a a few problems with the views, I want to make it so that you can zoom in and out with the wheel on the mouse, but it is still locked on the player at the same time & I want to make it so that you can rotate around the player with the mouse too.I should get around this, I have posted at the GMC, but have had some trouble, this may delay Alpha 2 by a couple of days, weeks or even months, depending on if I find the fastest & a code that will run smoothly.Blood & Ash:I have done a bit of work on this 2D platform adventure/shooter, I finished the engine for this sometime ago and I have done a lot of sprite work on the game, it is shaping quite good - so far, more news on that later though.I have uploaded and changed my banner picture too, so, it is there if you would want to have a look at it, not very good, I know, but I should get around to a better one sometime. Thanks for reading-Matt
