Hello 64Digits. It has been so long since I last came here. I have so much to say cos it has been nearly 3 weeks.
First up I am really disappointed with the fact that the site was down. Because of that, my game has been under the table (and out of the front page) for so long. Now that the site is back it has slipped out of the front page and has ranked a pathetic 14 downloads. If you want to play the game, just click the link below.I have so many plans but for some reason I am just to lazy. to do them all. Web site, web comic, 2 new games, I just feel bored and fatigued. The thing is, if I don't finish one soon, college will start and I will have no time to to them. The first game was called kid rush. The game was intended to be part of the ill fated 64d colab. In the end, I never finished the game, or set up an online high score table. [Kid rush up against dozens of aliens]The next game, which shows some promise, is the a spin off of the squares. In this game you play as a hot spot, one of the baddies in the game. The thing I like about the game is the control. You use the mouse to control the little bagger via click and point. You can even vary the speed by increasing or decreasing the distance BTW the object. Another coll feature is the use of physics. I tried to use the GMphysics.dll but I found it to cumbersome to understand so I "faked" the physics using code. You can play with a ball or break the blocks by pressing X.light in a tree. sweetA demonstration of scripted physicsSince I don't know how to improve the engine. I am posting it here.http://64digits.com/users/mazimadu/spot.gm6If any one can help me out(or just mess with the game and show off), You can post your modifications.
The engine is quite good. I'd suggest that if you click outside of the game zone, the ball doesn't follow, else it kinda glitches up :3
