Interstella 5555 : Best Anime Musical EVER!!

I was surfing youtube today and was looking for some music to ad to my playlist. I found a classic

Daft Punk - One More Time . Some of you might remember this song because of its cool techno beat and the anime music video. I became curious and decided to look into the full story behind the vid. After a while I found out that it was actually part of a feature film called Interstella 5555.

I decided to watch the entire movie and was blown away. The movie has absolutely no voice or dialog but has no problem telling its story. It is about an alien rock band that was kidnapped by a megalomaniacal business man on earth and makes them a world wide sensation. Apart from the fact that the movie all of daft punk's best tracks and really nice visuals, it was supervised (but not directed) by legendary anime director Leiji Matsumoto. Apart from the opening song, which is all America knows of techno other than Moby (Eminem: Nobodi listens to techno), the rest of the movie compels you to want to see more. My only complaint is that they did not properly develop all the characters, especially the little guy who obviously served as a comic relief. The movie is good, well made and deserves much more than a cookie.

I watched the entire movie at youtube on

Valderonce's page ( http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=Valderonce ) and highly recommend everyone seeing it.

Interstella 5555, was the best anime movie ever.

I love how none of them spoke, but the story was so clear. Great movie!

Surprising what songs and books come from the video media. Though cheap ass video games can be expected anymore. ;P

The plot seemed a little goofy. If were a megalomaniac who happened to kidnap aliens, would I turn them into an Earthbound pop band?

HELL NO! I'd force them to build me a kill-beam. Then take over Earth. Then destroy pop music, because it sucks.
