Trailer for Squares and google sites

Hey, haven't blogged for a while. To busy working on the Squares. It is coming along great, but have been so lazy that I haven't coded the bosses or drawn the 2nd stage yet. I really hate making a game and then stop due to laziness. To make matters worse, I am a person that hates to see things unfinished. Poor me.

Any way I made a trailer for the game and put it on youtube.

One thing I don't understand is that there isn't a preview thumbnail for my vid. Why is that? It appeared for my last vid but not for this one. Oh well, it is no big deal.

Also I am making another site (yes, another one) and am using google sites instead of freewebs. I choose google sites because I wanted to start a blog on blogger and looked at the dashboard and said "wait, google makes websites?". I tried it and it feels so-so. It doesn't seem to be giving me the freedom to make the site I want like I did with freewebs. It also doesn't seem to be able to attach blogger blogs (yes from the same company) to the sitemap. With less templates, no forum and not that many templates, it seems that Google sites is looking like one big crapper. Even Geocities is looking better that it. You can look at the crappy site I made here

Maybe I should be patient with it. Here in Nigeria people don't really care about the aesthetics of site making, but come on! Blogs and sites go together like Jam and peanut butter. GOOGLE CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT!!

Google is terrible for making websites.

That's why I used Blogger. ( http://f1ak3dgames.blogspot.com ) It's not like I needed a *real* site.

All you need to do to make it seem like an ordinary site is use the tags for your tabs ("Games", "Projects", "Examples"), and then make an entry for each thing, tagging it appropriately. Once that's done, you just put a list of tags in a convenient place, and there you have a navbar.

Then you can use untagged blogs as a newsfeed, and, if you really don't want game pages in your newsfeed, set the site to show one entry on the frontpage at a time.

@ Bryan

Have you forgotten that I love bevels. That is the graphical style of the squares, diliberatly noobish!!

@Retrox

I intended on using GMphysics but couldn't bend it to my will. I will use it in episode 2, when ENIGMA or a faster Game maker (With the C++ runner) comes out.

This looks interesting. Good feature with good platforming physics and a character that isn't a ball or a square (although it comes kinda close). I like it and hope that it gets released in the future.
