I am going to try my hand at an unscripted blog. The problem I have is that I try to have my blogs planned so I can say what I have to say without loosing track of details or going off topic. But this just has made me lack the will to blog since that energy would have left me when I get around to it.
Alright, here I go,Over the years I have made many game projects with Kyle in it mainly because he is a simple character that works well in a platformer environment. His games are easy to work on and the character is kinda like the mario of my games. A versatile base character that I use to get the level design and game engine tested. With the release of Kyle's berries, I want to focus on making a new game featuring a different member of the squares, this time the female character Lana. For those who remember, Lana is the second character I had my cousin draw a few months ago. I want her to play similar to Kyle but I want her gameplay to be more parkour focused. I am currently in the process of brainstorming her motions and abilities. I want kyles double jumping but also wall jumping and an emphasis on speed. Using a wacom tablet and Sai really helps with brainstorming since I can just sketch out ideas on the fly without having to draw them on paper and scan them as I used to do. Due to this setup that my art has dramatically improved to the point I am considering using these as sprites. The tablet is a bit wonky with flash meaning I cant animate with it using my original method. Instead, I plan to use it to make rough sprite animations and then match the movements in Spine. Shame GM has still not implemented all of spines features. I feel as though YoYo games are doing this deliberately to get us to by GMS 2. If so that is really sneaky. In the mean time I will keep brain storming the premise of the new game as well as the core game design. Till then I am open to ideas.
Wait… THOSE THINGS ARE BUGS!?
Yeah, always have been.
What did you think they were?
Well, that square certainly has hip.
Insect mammaries are proof of intelligent design.
Where is your big bang now, science?
