Yo
Whats up guys? It has been a long time since I've been on here. I seem to have forgotten the password to the account I made 7-8 years ago (go figure). I was 12 back then against the terms of agreement. I can tell you one thing though, its not the only time I lied about my age on the internet. After some digging I found my old account though and I had a pretty pimpin' name back then if I do say so myself. I was pretty active but never really talked much to anyone on here.
godTry not to judge me based on prepubescent posts. Also, mods I really don't care much to get the password back so don't worry about it.
Reminiscesescescses(sp?)
I've lurked around here for the last couple days and noticed some recognizable names from back then. Things I remember:
TwisterGhost was fat…
ChIkEn(sp?) should not be fed…
LOLOMGBBQ…
JakeX's game…Sapphire Tears and ColumnX
PolystyreneMan had a sweet game he was working on…it was sandboxy but I dont remember exactly
Everything DarkSirusGames (not sure if that's his name exactlyt) put out was pretty legendary in my mind.
Everyone hated YoYo and gm6 was the shit.
Luda will never finish his game? I remember this vaguely
V2 coming out was a big deal and V3 was a myth.
Programming ai
I'm sure there is more shit that just hasn't come back to me. Anyway I just got back into game maker again and really just enjoy trying out more advanced programming. Recently I have been working on 2d platform shooter AI. Think Soldat esque. Anyone here ever tackle it/have an example of it working really well?
I have a semi-decent version which gets the job done that I will post if interest is shown but it involves a "node" system which is a pretty big shortcut to take. This meaning I use a number of key points marking places to jump, drop down, retreat to, or land on. That being said my ai can navigate up down and around 3 levels it is just a little buggy in spots.
Closing Statements
Anyway ill be semi active on here during my winter break and will hopefully pump a couple games out. Hopefully ill figure out this activity feed and +1 nonsense pretty quickly. Cool to see that this old place is still up and running.
Don't forget Teleka.
