Okay… Hi guys… It's me again!
So I have some stuff I would like to talk about in this blog… 4 things!1. I sent in a game called Puppie's Walk… And the Mods denied it… They didn't even tell me why they wouldn't put it on the site!But I'm over it. Could one of the mods politely tell my why it couldn't go on? THANKS!!!2. OMG OMG OMG!!! I'm seeing 1408 with my best friend tommorow! Has anybody seen it? is it any good? It's by Stephen King! I know he's always good!3. There was this User called Hello… And he made some really good Mario type games… And now he's banned! Why? He didn't really do anything wrong. At least that I know of…4. I have discovered that Gnarls Barkley is a really good band! Anybody else like them? Last Stephen King item I checked out was The Talisman (audio from the Library…3 MP3 CDs…..took DAYS (8 hour shifts) to listen to the whole thing at my work on my MP3 player. Not so much scarry as fantasy. Older title, but it was very well done.There was this User called Hello… And he made some really good Mario type games… And now he's banned! Why? He didn't really do anything wrong. At least that I know of… "If" the games were done with just an editor pretty much I can understand. (Like all the sprites, backgrounds, sounds, objects are already there… just click in the level designs).Some "clone" style games I can understand, but some games have been re-done way too much. If it is "original work" more (your own graphics, sounds,etc… or at least something that has not been done over and over…no problem I am sure. But if you crank out a ton of "Mario games" one after another and it's mostly just changing the levels…well, it's not so much a "new" game… just a re-hashed one.It would be like me taking my first game and just tweaking the levels over and over and submiting them as "new games". I only played a couple Mario games here…but most people start out with Mario, Pac-Man, etc…Originality helps alot…but if it is a clone game, I can see doing clones of games that are awesome but not many people have heard of. I'm not a mod or anything, but that would be my guess as everything started looking "Mario" in the game download section, I have slowed down, but I was cranking out a game every couple months or so. If a slew of Mario games all hit at the same time, how much effort went into them. (Don't get me wrong… they may have been done and just sat untill they all got uploaded at once… but if one was finished…then another and another…)
