LotA: I am about 86% done with the content of Lions of the Atlantic. This breaks down to:
Cargoes: 100Buildings: 100Ship Names: 100Titles: 100Names: 100Constructions: 100Cutscenes: 30RCombos: 100Harbors: 5Ships: 90Models: 100The two most unfinished items on this list are the Cutscenes, which make up the story of the game, and the Harbors, which are the places at which you trade. Neither of these ought to take very long to implement, really. With the content almost finished, my main focus switches to the game's engine. I will be extensively testing and fixing it, getting it to a state where I can't find any bugs. Soon after that… it will be FINISHED!I'm just about finished updating the Mission structure of the engine. The missions are composed of multiple goals, each of which can be one of several different goal types, and each of which can have a time limit and/or enemies to harass you as you try to complete it. These missions will be the backbone of the story's gameplay as well.MMO: No progress right now. I have until November 30 to finish LotA, so that is my main/only focus ATM.X3: They're supposed to release the Bala Gi Missions pack any day now! I want a blue Nova! Also, the player HQ looks amazing. Anyone else have X3?Rant: Norton the Elephant is taking up 1.6GB of ram on my system. That program needs optimizing badly.Random Quote: Once you have passed this test of understanding you can question it all you like. (Lazy site designers; you get this when you press an arrow key in the title field)
Norton takes up 1.6GB of RAM? Not hard drive space? Ouch. I only have 1 GB of ram… how much do you have? =P
768 mb memory + 1.5gb virtual memory.
My father was the one who insisted on using Norton - not me.
Norton = pain. Where this pain is, I will not specify…
