Side Project #2

Blog disclaimer: No bad language. Any issues you have with this are to be taken up with your mothers.

Codename: Kartonia

Genre: Top-down shooter

Players: 1-???

Graphics: 2d/3d hybrid

Controls: Mouse (move/fire), QWEASD (context-sensitive)

Description: Set in a procedurally-generated world, Kartonia places you in control of your very own ship, equipped with its very own engine and machine gun. Around you, the world is rife with conflict - city states forming and breaking tentative alliances; and conflicts taking place both in the air and on land. You are a mercenary with just one goal: Make the most money you can, and use it to buy better equipment. If you can survive long enough, you may even find yourself competing in the Arena against other powerful mercenaries for unmatched prizes. Take on missions for cities around the world; make friends (and enemies); and defeat your opponents, then go head-to-head against other players. It's a vicious world out there - can you survive?

And, of course, the graphics-style-test screenshot.

News in DoC: Working on unit animations and buildings for 2E. Graphics look wonderful as usual. Demo not soon forthcoming.

Quit with the awesomeness, omicron. You're making us all look bad.

So it's an RTS, is it? Maybe, maybe not. It looks like a fraction RTS. How many players max, then?

Cool, I can't wait to play.
