What's new: 20 June edition.
I took half a day yesterday to learn Blender - which has allowed me to successfully create and implement some new animated wildlife models. This was followed by a full day of trying to get the stupid thing to export to .smd - finally did it by exporting to md5, importing into gmax, and exporting to smd from there. I also implemented some basic changes - adding postprocessing "bloom-like" effects (still haven't gotten blur working) which really liven up the game world; lens flares for the various scenes; and improved water.A summary image of the changes:(Use previous blog posts for comparison images)The Sins of a Solar Empire beta 2 is coming out tomorrow; I'm looking forward to playing with the new features.Does any of the rest of you have Sins?
