Cryptic title, no?
Anyway, Quintus is going to be released today or tomorrow. I have to study for four finals after that - oh, joy. There was one bug that cropped up during the last few days which almost killed the project itself - it had to do with passages between rooms. I won't go into the details here - suffice it to say it was exceptionally messy.I got a new game idea a while back, and may turn it into a working game eventually. Basic idea is to make a "good" Christian game. Never mind things like LB:EF and its ilk - they try too hard to be Christian, and forget the idea of "Game." Instead, I had an idea for an FPS of sorts where you play an angel during the first few years of the Tribulation. You've recently been tasked with guarding a human, who just happens to get himself into some difficult situations, and who has a vital role to play in the future. Angelic powers + aerial swordfights + heavenly bazookas (Who's to say they don't use heavy firepower?) + hordes of fallen angels and demons + one of the most underused narratives in existence - bible verse memorization quizzes = fun time. At least that's what I'm hoping.Back to the grindstone, gents. See you at the finish line.
Holy water pistols :O
Hahaha ^
^^ ^_^
Burning bush bombs!Sword vs. bazooka? Not a fair fight if you ask me.
What about bazookas that fire swords?
On the subject of Eternal Forces, it was a terrible disappointment. I mean, it had some interesting ideas, but, in the end, it was a bad game. The only good part was that my copy came with the first book in the series. Brilliant piece of literature. Hmm… I think I've hit on a potential topic to add to my December 30th blog content. Thanks!
If you don't mind, could y'all test Quintus' "play now" link here:
http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/20027 ?It's having trouble on my end, and it needs to work for YYG to accept it into the competition.
