In the year 51XX, the two existing empires of the Earth called Kranon and Delia mark the anniversary of their centuries-old fierce war between each other. The rulers of both empires, although at first supportive of the war, now desire to simply end it, although neither side desires to conform. The nation of Kranon turns to its Military Research Department (MRP) to produce the ultimate fighter. After millions spent and nearly a decade in development, the MRP produces an automated air fighter by the codename of Project F-60. If it can successfully destroy the massive Delia weapon called the K-483 that threatens the nation of Kranon, its "field testing" will be complete, and the Commander in Chief of Kranon will issue an order to begin mass production of F-60 air fighter units.————————-Project F-60 is a side-scrolling shooter, similar in gameplay to big-name Super Nintendo games like R-Type III and Axelay. The graphics are done in Pixelart by yours truly (myself) and features over 150 images, between sprites and backgrounds. The game will spawn 7 stages featuring two new enemy units for every stage you advance. No saving is necessary, as the game is designed to be beatable in one sitting (just like the old-school SNES shooters). The game is scheduled to be released on June 30th, 2007. Keep your eyes peeled for more information on this page as the day approaches.Preview screenshots:http://64digits.com/users/rockyran/F60Screen1.pnghttp://64digits.com/users/rockyran/F60Screen2.pnghttp://64digits.com/users/rockyran/F60Screen3.pngNew screenshots released as of today (June 20th):http://64digits.com/users/rockyran/F60Screen4.PNGhttp://64digits.com/users/rockyran/F60Screen5.PNGFor those who want a more "animated" preview, here's some recorded gameplay footage.
