Just to let all you's know, I'm making a new game (duh) called Project F-60. This is mainly an old-skool scrolling shooter with tons of power-ups and a little "helper system" I came up with.
The thing with THIS game is that I'm using nothing but pixel art in this game, so every single sprite I made by hand, pixel by pixel, in MS Paint. No photoshop, no paintshop, no scanner, no nothing. I have made some effects using image_blend and image_alpha, but all the sprites and animations are mouse-drawn by me. I'm doing this mainly to expand my pixelling abilities :D.I'm going to show you all screenies, given no WIP blog is complete without 'em. ;)Screenie 1:Shootin' around and some enemies CLICK Screenie 2:Shooting with the mech shot (machine gun-type weapon) and blowing up some crates CLICK Screenie 3:Shooting with the laser shot and showing more enemies and some items CLICK Screenie 4:Beating up some mini-boss with a "helper" and low health (notice that when you have "low health", smoke comes out of the player's ship :D) CLICK So, enjoy the screenies. I shall be posting more news blogs ONLY on 64D :P
Great graphics for someone using paint.
Those are pretty good for paint…
I made all of platformed's sprites with GM's built iin editor. That's almost exactly like paint. You did good with them though.EDIT: SO THAT is why you were trying to figure out how to make the character move as much as the view did! Wow. Didn't expect the game to look like this. Those are very good for paint!
Heh, I've always liked you graphics style Rocky.
nice for paint.
use gms built-in editor, it has more colours that can be easly gotten, more zoom, and colourizing, fading to colour, ect.I only use paint to crop images.
