Yes, yes, Serprex has been a naughty little boy and written more than is healthy for a blog. Apologies to those who actually read it
Finally got blank CDs. My backup was 650MB, fit on a disk. Had room to include a few programs too. As for my mother, She has 800MB of pictures. So we decided to use her 1GB SD flash card…3hours ago. Figure I'll backup my father's 1MB of data next, little use of his down to basics flash drive MP3 player he uses for listening to AudioBooksSo yes, I've defragged and am ready to try MEPIS…after my mother's data is savedIN OTHER NEWS I FOUND A CHERRYExcept I found it after stepping on it, poor thing. Probably wouldn't go very well on ice creamOh, and my math teacher actually asked me to do something today. So I read over the homework, boring co/sine law stuff. What really matters is my VB card thing. I've decided to not use the given code and instead use my method that makes use of an array and the like(Relly, they have a part where they could use string appending, but instead use 10 if{}s(Then again, I'm having to deal with a snooty type mismatch error))AND IN OTHER NEWS THERE WAS SOME NEWS(Odd…didn't expect CBC to be the first result)Mother's backup too 5hours. And my CD wouldn't even react to MEPIS, unlike my older computer which received a message about how the CPU was too old for the kernel
He tried telling that to you
HEY LONG BLOG! Try to shorten it a bit. I won't read it otherwise.
In other news, poor cherry :(Didn't understand what you meant in that last paragraph. Your backup CDs wont work in MEPIS or your MEPIS CD won't work in your computer? Or what?Poor little serpy, do your fingers hurt?
No MEPIS? *sniffle*Boot won't detect MEPIS
And my fingers hurt right now due to standing in the cold for much too longAlso, you are not suppose to read theselongblogs. Sheesh, that'd be such a waste of timeAre your parents computer geeks?
What kinda mobo & proc was in yer old pc?Did you check BIOS settings for boot order? CD first? Something fucked up with MEPIS CD's boot files?
You silly. We don't waste our precious time on your blogs.I was able to teach my father how to copy and paste last year, since then he has found out how to save files and connect to the internet
Old rig is old in ways that it has 96MBram and is only used for taxes. CD went in just as a test. Thing that probably matters more is my current thing, which is some AMD stuff and random Phoenix BIOSAnd yes, I spent a few hours fiddling with BIOShaha, I couldn't teach my dad how to copypaste, he didn't understand where the text that you wanted to copy went! I lol'd.
It simply won't detect the CD?This might be a stupid question, but have you tried the boot menu as it's loading? (99.9999999999999% probability that the answer is yes, taking bets now!)No, just boot order. I have pressed all F keys during IDE check though, and screwed with boot order
USB didn't work either, so I'll go off and look into some other distros since Ubuntu worked(though the CDs are…no longer with us)
