Anyways, changed a weapon in DF and have changed the player's color from 24bit to 20bit(RGB=776) to carry shot data and all that funI changed the third weapon. I didn't like it. Always being a hassle with no idea where it stood on balance and poor integration with the energy system. Weapons now work like soVulcanFires 4 vulcans in degrees of 0,60,120 and 180 (screw 90) every other frame. Costs 3en per frameLzrrrrFires a vertical beam (no blocking wins) that does twice as much damage as the vulcan shotsHomingAs shown in the screen shot, these shots are fired at the same rate as vulcans but with 6en/frame and 3shots every other frame?????? FusionRocket(AKA Blastr)Since I send shot data as 2bits, I can have a fourth weapon. Any 6letter weapon names?Creates a barrier of vulcan missiles while defusing backwardsFires a charged shot towards middle of screenOverall it seems balanced enough. Haven't tested combinations on mplay much though since I don't get to test coop much, just get to do a test with the lazy localhostAlso, I turned back on Cleartype. I think I might be able to finally read some works on Novelas now. Such pretty text it renders
Blastr
Fires a single, powerful shot straight upI suppose I could make a shot that only works with MAXen or something. But it'd be such a large magnitude that I'd have a hard time making it work with the game's flow
Powerful straight up shot is pretty much laser. I don't want to make any more stronger attacks, because most enemies have around 16hp which means half a second of laser fire kills them. To make enemies that are worthy of being fired on by a powerful blast would make vulcan boring with them and I'd have to have some form of energy casting. That being said, I could always make an immediate effect weapon HA*jumps out window**calling out the window*You could make a short-range, powerfull weapon that strikes in 360 degrees? Like meleeish weapon, but with lasers<_<
lol@fiction.Hm…yes, I could make some vulcans fire and defuse from the back. That'll give the player a wide side strike, a strong focused front strike, a barrier back rush and a weak homing choice of selection
ooh, yes, 'Fusion'
^_^
