Ya, I figure I'll just show the various youtubes of what I've scrounged. Some I've directly ripped to listen to with XMP through the greatness of youtubehack.net
So why not follow the fad and overkill it with a huge list of youtube videos? Ya, if I wasn't stuck at my grandmother's maybe I wouldn't be wasting my time on thisSadly overloading with [youtube]s causes some random errorTetris seems to only get better the more I hear it. I also ripped the Korobiniki remixI've also kept Tewotsunaide and I don't dance, by JukioRipped this one from Go Beryllium, nice little thing monorail is doingI'm not on my computer and I can't figure out what to search to find Poly's weird little recording that has that nice rough sound to itKept a copy of Varia's musicOnly epic like sounding music I have. After watching these videos for hours, I have come to love Ikaruga's music (Along with a little bit of Blue Wish music)Cactus music is an obvious. Seizure Dome and Clean Asia's final boss music are some of my absolute favorite chiptunesKento also has nice music in his shumps, and rR is one of my favorites. Of course, Tumiki's boss music is pretty niceChoRenSha is nice. Sadly the native music is in some MDC mod format, which the plugin for XMP has a memory leak or something…ya, I think I'm done now. Random news: Got Kibosh on shootthecore. Horrible+lazy site layout being linked to all the wayMenu Designthe title which was, but isn'tBeen thinking about interface design recently, especially menus. Was watching some G1 child playing Lego Starwars on some Wii and I noticed how awful the linear menu was. Anyways, linear menu design is something world leaders should solve in the next centuryWay to avoid saying me blah me blah me blah: Just say blah blah blah. Mainly works for the start of sentences, removing the word I and leaving it as an implicit I. Implicit things are niceOh, and mentioned Perl to some guy. Reply was "Perl isn't really a language, more like a utility program. You should look into an assembler"
He knows what programming is, for sure.
Menu design is silly, the single list of options is so outdated now.He has a massive pay check from the programming industry, and he's been doing it for decades. Think he does low level stuff though, so his ASM loving kind are in demand there
I really don't know why lists aren't broken up into a matrix system. Good games have been using them for a long time in things like Shop menus where they categorize it all. But even then, a tree system ends up having a tree pick time overhead. Which is why I like a matrix menu which works on trees that have a low volume. They've also found rings to increase usabilityRings are nice. Personally I like vista's new menu, simply because the searchbox means I never need to see it's worse-than-XPness
Speaking of bad mechanics, I just played a tetris edit where there were icicles falling. They'd push a block they fell onto through the locked pieces. This made cleaning pockets way too easy. Made 1Dtetris seem fun
So how is Vista without the beautiful search functionality?Very nice, thanks for asking.
Teticles sounds like a fairly poor gameplay mechanic. And you're right, the tetris theme is good :D<3
