Even though i live in northern USA, it is REALLY hot out today.

Seriously, i thought temperaturees this high were not possible around here. 98 degrees F at 1:12 in the afternoon. crazy, i know.

Well about 2 years ago, we used to have a nice pool in our backyard. It was above-ground, but it was still deep enough to do cannonballs into from the ledge.

I will give you untill the next sentence to figure out why i wouldnt have such a luxury anymore.

too late! the answer is EVIL BURROWING CHIPMUNKS! during the winter, a chipmunk decided to burrow under our pool, where it was supposedly very warm.On top of very warn theough, there was a lot of pressure on the lining and the ground.

It was a cold winter's night when this happened.

So, through the power of water pressure, and the huge 2 ton block of ice on top of the water, the lining tore. the rip caused and explosion of water to rush out of the hole, which woke all of us in the house. My mom and dad rushed outside to see a tidal wave of water rushing around in the lower garden, melting all of the snow in the area and destroying the gardens further down the hill. We also see the body of a chipmunk crushed by the blast floating around out there.

Needless to say, the neighbors who were living down the street were not very happy.

So that is why i dont have a pool anymore.
