I finally got my hands on a copy of battle royale, a movie made in japan based on the battle royale book. The movie is illegal in the United States because they think it is too violent. I strongly disagree, the movie was a story of dignity and frendship (and the opposing the govenment and killing was a side dish) but it all boils down to, "who can you trust" well some people are not who they seem to be, get on the inside than kill them is a popular stragety. I liked the book a little more than the movie because it describes more, like the movie left out how and why some people were killed. So if any one read the book or saw the movie please post our veiws on BR.

Battle Royale is my favorite book, movie, and manga. It has been for quite some time. It did remind me a bit of The Most Dangerous Game as well as Lord of the Flies. Although the book is better for the story and meaning, the movie shouldn't be missed. You can skip over the manga if you have a weak stomach (and yes, I mean that you can watch the movie and read the book and still find the manga quite disgusting), but I digress. The book speaks levels on the true nature of man and how the relationship between adults and children is one of comtempt and vanity on behalf of the adults. It also more apparently talks of friendship and what fear can do to the human psyche. I would have loved for someone more competant than sk8m8trix to have brought it up. Maybe we could have had an intelligent conversation.
you know im actually pretty smart, im not a fucking retard
