GAAH YOU CAN'T EVEN IMAGINE HOW PISSED OFF I AM!
Why? Well because I was writing this blog a few minutes ago. Everything was done and I was just going to post it when my computer restarted. ARGHGuess I have to re-write it all…I was in the kitchen about an hour ago.. eating breakfast and reading a game magazine called "LEVEL"It was issue five.Suddenly I recognize a screenshot.. I took a closer look. The title said: Ninja Loves PirateI was like, OMG I know that game, it's produced by some swedish guys and is made in GAME MAKER!It was a pre-review of Ninja Loves Pirate.I might not be in the team Muskedunder Interactive But since I'm from sweden, It's my duty to translate it for you, because I haven't seen anyone else translate it yet.Ninja Loves Pirate
Platform: PCDeveloper: Muskedunder InteractivePublisher: N/ARelease date: N/AYou just have to love the name Ninja Loves Pirate. Ninjas and pirates. The fact that the game is developed by a few Swedish guys makes the game, if possible, even more interesting.Ninja Loves Pirate was from the beginning a contribution to the contest Four Elements at gamedev.net. The demo-version won the contest and was also awarded as the best Swedish independent-game 2005. Right now are Muskedunder Interactive (yep, that's actually their name) completing the full-version.The game is a simple platform game, and where most of the modern pc-games are trying to use as advanced technique as possible, are Muskedunder Interactive instead using lovely pixeled 2D graphics and humor. It looks like a mix of Metal Slug and Monkey Island, with a ninja with a piratehat and a pirate armed with naginata in the main-roles. One last argument? The enemies which you're fighting are nothing else than pure zombies.Ninjas. Pirates. Zombies. 2D. Sweden. Can it get any better?uuuh, quite crappy translation, I hope that you undestand most of it though. For those of you that understands swedish or just wants to have a look at the original review:Here's a scanned image of the page. Thanks for reading.-Isak
awesome. I think the game Crush! has been in a magazines and on TV.
Quite a few GM games are getting popularity recently…
Our local (South African) has some cool GM games occasionally on their DVD and they once also did a piece on Ninja <3 Pirate. Ive heard they are most probably going to put the Cleaner on it next month or something.
I thought the makers of Ninja loves Pirate were going to finish it in C/C++…
It wouldn't suprise me though because it looks like a classic.I still think Madhouse needs publicity..Yeah Madhouse really deserves publicity.
