All my good videos :D

Posted by spike1 on July 10, 2013, 7:46 p.m.

Hi again! Here are some of the videos I have made that are good(and believe me, that's rare :D). They are ordered from worst to best, so if you only want good ones skip to the last one). Anyway, a quick thing though, is that all of these videos were created some months ago as I had been rather disappointed at my you tube career, so instead of making videos I have simply been practicing certain techniques, so these videos are no where near where I am now :). Also, one more thing which is that the music in all these videos are mine :D. Oh, and finally, please dont look at the other videos on my channel, they are really bad :D.

Clone Wars -

Link

This was my second attempt at visual effects, and didn't turn out quite how i had expected, but it was ok :D. It was made in a day by myself with no tripod, chairs and boxes would have had to do :D.

Phone Marketers -

Link

This video was actually a song I wrote after i got 20 marketing calls one after the other :D. Not much else to say other than sorry for the terrible music video :D.(BTW, the singing isn't that bad)

Lolly Land -

Link

Based on a short story i wrote when i was 6(Dont expect a complex storyline, although i did what i could), this short film is my most recent. Problem was that it was entered into a competition that had only 3 days left(out of several months), so i had some very late nights, and some sadly rushed visual effects. So please excuse the sometimes visible greenscreen :D.

The Void -

NOTE: This video may be animated in minecraft style, but has nothing to do with minecraft and may even be remade one day with a different style. The only reason i made it minecraft was because i thought it would make it more popular.

Trailer <– Please watch

RealVideo

This is my second latest video, and my first decent animation. It tells quite a tense and action packed story about some stuff :D. Anyway, this is probably my best creation so far, so hopefully you like it :D. BTW, it does end on a cliff hanger and i probably wont be continuing it due to its lack of attention after several months and a decent amount of marketing, so if you dont want a cliffhanger then yeah :D.

Anyway, those are most of the public videos i have made that are good, and hopefully you enjoy! One more thing though, like i said at the top my more recent things(that i haven't posted), are better acting wise(go drama class! :D), visual effects wise(Made my own AfterEffects program, might post about it one day when i find the source(it was made in GM :D)), sound effects(found a better website), and also storyline(Cause I'm older and know whats better :D). So yeah, thanks for reading/watching! :D

(I hope this dosn't count as advertising….) :D

definitely not reidd, haha.

you're actually pretty good with those visual effects, definitely better at it than a lot of youtubers are.

you've got some real talent there, especially at such a young age, keep at it.

I originally misread this. just one letter away from some real nightmare fuel.

You're pretty good with effects already. I hope you keep doing this kinda stuff.

Thanks guys! Which one was your favorite? If i make more videos i could base them around it :D.

I watched Lolly Land. For a short film made by a thirteen year old in three days based off a story he wrote when he was six, it was better than I expected. Already better than some stuff you'd find on Adult Swim.

The Void turned me off because it was a Minecraft-style video which I've developed a severe allergy to. Sorry, if you ever do remake it I'd gladly check it out.

The Clone Wars was pretty clever, although for obvious reasons it was hard to keep track of characters. Something about it reminded me of playing Timesplitters 2 back in the day, between the music, effects, and use of a nerf gun.

The Phone Marketers thing, again, is well done with all things considered. The melody was catchy enough (although I know squat about music theory so I'd have no idea) and although it's the only one I stopped halfway through, again, it's still better than the stuff I see some full-grown men doing (read: all those crappy sidestories thrown in after Atop the Fourth Wall reviews). I don't know what a toilet stick is supposed to be but whatever.

Overall, keep at it. I'd love to see you do something with stop-motion (although that just might be myself saying I want to do stop-motion and wish I tried it at an earlier age). Actually, it'd be fun watching some sort of weird sci-fi thing with a bunch of silly effects and filters. You know, make up two silly characters and make them fight each other.

thanks for the reply panzercretin :). just want to clarify some thing with the void. it really has nothing to do with minecraft itself, that was just the graphical style I chose. it has almost no traits of other minecraft animations such as sillynes or no story, so it can barely be called a minecraft animation :D. I'm not sure if you watched it based on your comment, but yeah, if you didn't I would still suggest it :).

anyway, thanks for the reply, and I'll try to get some new stuff out so I can show what I can really do :)

sorry to double post :). I just wanted to say that it's OK to be really harsh :). if you don't like something, anything at all, please tell me :). I'll have a go at stop motion animation sometime tonight :)

oh yes, and to answer your question, a toilet stick is just meant to represent the sort of stuff they sell, which is just crap, hence the idea of toilet stick :D
