Goin' to DigiPen

<fieldset><legend>108Badge Status</legend>STILL IGNORED

It appears as though my efforts are in vain, as nobody seems to support the 108Badge. …Yeah, I'm out of witty things to say. I'll spend the night making up new ones, no doubt.</fieldset>I haven't been blogging for the past few days due to Internet…issues. So yeah.

Anyways, I can't believe I've forgotten to post about me going to a summer workshop on game creation in a couple of weeks at DigiPen University in Seattle, Washington. It'll be fun not only because of the actual workshop (which is two weeks long), but also because I'll get to spend the out-of-workshop time with my uncle who works at Microsoft! D'you know what that means? A $50.00 copy of Windows XP Pro! Fourteen days with an unopened Xbox 360! Tours of the Microsoft building! And stuff. There'll be some good times to be had.

Plus, I'll get to fly by myself from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to Chicago, Illinois, to Seattle, Washington. Yes, I live in Rapid City, South Dakota, but I'll be in Harrisburg for a week prior to this two weeks of pwnage due to my family reunion. I've never flown alone before. I need to get a photo ID because I don't have a drivers' permit yet (even though in South Dakota, you can get a permit at fourteen, my parents think it should be otherwise). Curse you, pointless post-9/11 regulations!

I'll also get to see a friend I haven't seen in four years when I go to Seattle. He used to live in Rapid City, but moved due to his younger brother (who already had learning disabilities) getting cancer, and his dad changing jobs to support it. I'm fairly sure he still lives in the Seattle suburban area, and I hope to say hi to him, because we were good friends since first grade and I haven't seen him in so long.

Anyways, all this means two things for all you readers:

I'll be gone for nearly a month, which means no work of any kind (yes, Rhys, all projects will have to be put on hold for a MONTH…bleh), except for…

I'll be doing a daily takua108@DigiPen blog, if I can manage it. What with my uncle having like four computers, it shouldn't be a problem (his wife, my aunt is a Java programmer). So it'll be like those E3 blogs that were so cool, only about a third as awesome

So, yeah. I'm finished for the night. Comments away!
