Well, okay, virtual terrorism. And counter-terrorism. Well, enough ramblings, time to get to the point:
<a href="http://www.steampowered.com/stats/csmarket/" target="_blank">http://www.steampowered.com/stats/csmarket/</a>Yeah. I thought it was a pretty cool idea. Even though I don't play Counter-Strike that often. So anyways, on to other stuff. I've been learning XML in my spare time at Web Programming class at school recently. Well, not so much XML, but how to read XML into PHP. Trust me, it's not that easy. Here's my project I've been working on. I'm making TOPDOWN use XML configuration files instead of INI. Why? Because INIs are so 1990s.<a href="http://topdown.thetyphooncorp.com/config.php" target="_blank">The PHP file</a><a href="http://topdown.thetyphooncorp.com/config.xml" target="_blank">The user configuration XML file</a><a href="http://topdown.thetyphooncorp.com/config_master.xml" target="_blank">The master XML file</a>Yeah…it's pretty boring stuff. Meh.Oh, also: ColumnsX rocks my socks off. I just noticed the badges on the side there. Very cool stuff.And…yeah. Short post today.
Why don't use ini's? beeing so 1990's isn't that bad.
I think I saw some sort of XML parser for GM in the GMC…at leats that was the title of the topic said. Yeah, only if using XML files is FASTER than reading lot or large ini files, it is ok, otherwise, there is no point.
Yeah, SimplXML or something. I downloaded it, and it works.
