I haven't drawn in a while so I did.

It's hard drawing muscle when don't have any. I mean even the slightest would help so I wouldn't need to reference Google images. I could look at myself, compliment myself, then apply my eye-studying to my drawing.

I have no idea why I made Pan shirtless for the splash art. I-It just felt right to strip him of clothing. The problem is that he's a pretty boy so no matter what the art is going to look gay if he's shirtless. But who cares. Once I draw his left hand, it'll be gripping a RAW AND BLOODY HUMAN HEAD with a Mohawk hairdo.

I really don't like how it seems I'm going to have to draw his ass in the most frontal position. Need to redraw torso.

Also I made a frame for a punch animation.

Behold the Two-Frame Punch. Hopefully, it'll turn into Eight-Frame Punch someday. It's disheartening knowing I haven't animated the main goon enemies in my game yet, but it's also satisfying knowing they will all be ripped motorcycle gang members with neon colored mohawks. And mohawk piercings.

So you have these bruisers with neon hair busting ass in Shanghai, when a white guy comes in and saves the day, breaking all their faces in with just fists. That is so hell yeah.

I've been thinking about adding ground fighting to Panache. You know, like in UFC where the men are just sweating and locked against each other in an embrace of pure disgust and hatred. I think it would add an element of rawness to the game. I really want this visceral, even gruesome (curb stomping ahoy), street fighting feel. I mean, it's probably unlikely that goons will know about submission and grappling techniques, but nagger. Like a dingy and gritty 2D version of God Hand. Then suddenly, Pan belts out a monologue about political intrigue inhibiting China's transition to hegemony.

I really want to make a game with this old sprite.

I think I got a story for it. Here it is in bullet form:

Tutorial in PLA Academy, story reason for why main character knows how to fight.

Quaint town scene. Suddenly, the physical manifestations of Suffering attack!

Plow way through enemies for Stage 1.

Cutscene shows your fighting did nothing. The Sufferings rise unscathed.

Wise old man walks in, says that it was actually the power of your voice that weakened the Sufferings, but it was NOT ENOUGH. Says to visit the Buddha at the temple.

Goes to temple, finds out Buddha only speaks Japanese. What a complete nagger.

The character memorizes a random J-Pop song to at least get the gist of what the Buddha is saying.

The Buddha states that to end Suffering, you must sing. However, like how the Buddha can only understand Japanese, the Suffering are only truly affected by Japanese. You must go to Japan and start a J-Pop idol career, while fighting the Sufferings underground.

You do so and learn of the Five Elements. Here, the game is like Mega Man where you can select the stage.

Upon hearing your singing, the Sufferings gasp for air, then proceed to claw at themselves and die. Lots of gore here.
