I drew more of the new character I made, Hwora. I am thinking he could use his ribcage-like appendages for flight. I am trying to think up a story for him. So far I am thinking a fear of celebrity, but this comes in great odds with his incredible weight lifting. Can he surpass his fears and acclaim the title of ho greatest weight lifter? In the meanwhile, I haven't worked on Panache. I haven't been doing much at all until today. Today I also made a sprite. It is going to be for a mod of Momodora, where I am replacing the character with my own, that Asian girl I always draw. And since I'm thernz, I will over-animate everything. I plan on completely recoding the player and transforming the game into a full fledged game of MELEE ACTION, but without altering the level design so it will turn out pretty horrible. Or it will quietly die and no one will know I abandoned it.I also wrote a little description of Asian girl here:
Tell me how generic she sounds, especially since she's the protagonist of Panache. She is a young private investigator who received the reins of the detective agency when her mentor went missing. Going from my drafts, the story starts out with Xiaoai receiving a case from evicted tenants who claim that a safety inspection was rigged. While, she would accept the case anyway, Xiaoai remembers that this certain apartment complex they were evicted from is rumored to house members of the Light Fist Gang. She gladly takes the case, seeking the opportunity to help break the gang. The Light Fist Gang was a previously unassuming gang in the Hongkou District. For the last few months, they have been settling all around Shanghai. They are now considered a high threat. They are notoriously known for their increasingly senseless murders and imperiousness against police forces. There have been reports about internal conflict in the leadership, but it is doing little to shake up the increasingly violent activity of the gang. The gang itself has become difficult to predict or spot. The heightened risk of dealing with them just sways the police more from them. A lot of their behaviors are rather strange as well, with a utmost and blind sense of community that sacrifices their own individual instinct for survival and lower goons seem seemingly devoid of emotion or desire. They seem like a single collective consciousness.I also remembered the first album I ever bought while I was a sophomore in high school/cool school and decided to listen to it again. Well, on youtube since my brother lost the original CD. I still have the case. In any case, it's actually pretty neat I guess! Strikes me as odd that the first album I ever bought was a Japanese new age CD! aaaaa
Quote:
The protagonist of Panache. She strives to adhere to the idealism of her mentor Xieluoke. However, she is a bit ruffled by her own methods and the unsavory nature of being a private investigator, and unknowingly, her own personality. Xiaoai may pride herself on a sort of friendliness rarely seen in cities when meeting people, but it quickly defaults to her actual jaundiced self in closer relationships. That isn't to say that she is one to get absorbed by hatred. She is an incredibly active person and always on the go: mostly on cases or just simple sight-seeing. She loves people, she just doesn't love getting close to people.Could her high ambitions be rooted in insecurity and not justice?
