WOOOOO!
I'm excited.. and then some.Latest playtests of the game have been very promising, and we'll soon be able to release the game. For all joo guys to play! Here's some random stats!-The game started development on September 4, 2007-On last count, the game had 14,623 lines of code-There are currently 6 people working on the game-The game is a remake of the 2D Facility B, which was heavily influenced by Ergo's Pyre II, and idsoftware's Doom 3-Highly advanced, (but still GM's native d3d engine) engine developed by lo_lord and myself called "SpitFire"-In total, 214 rooms have been generated (at this point)-This game will be the most technologically advanced GM-d3d game ever conceived^Don't believe me? Just wait another month or so.You'll all be blown away.
why are all the floors shiny?
For those who want screenies, there's a gameplay video in one of the earlier blogs. I think that will be sufficient ;)
@Rusky: The floors are shiny coz we've been testing out our reflection visual. The effect won't be there the whole time, only when the ground is wet.It looks advanced, but I fear repetetiveness.
@Mat: I guess that would be the major issue with the game.. but I used techniques to keep the game as varied as possible.. I guess we won't know until it's released to a large audience.
I don't find repetetiveness so far. Good work tijitdamijit.
the video looks nice, but I really hope you do plan on changing the enemy models, bullets, and adding to the rooms…they're all so boring.
