That reminded me of that. They do flicker.. it's just hard to tel coz of the lo-res youtube format. atm the lights flicker in range but not colour, so I'll change it so the colour flickers a bit as well

I dunno.. it looks a bit weird when it's just red, and plus people keep telling me to make the flickering more obvious.

So, the colour of the light emitted each frame is:

merge_color(c_red,c_white,random(0.125));

red flickering flares
