Well…

I was fiddling with my computer after it got fixed (see previous blog), and I decided to install Red Alert 2; it's my favourite game of all time and I wondered why I hadn't played it for ages. So anyway, I put in the CD into the correct slot (my computer has a dummy-slot, just to confuse people - in fact, it has a dummy extra side, which serves no purpose at all other than to invite the cat to walk around inside the computer… Bugger)… Hmm, how did I start that sentence?

Ah! So I put the CD in, double-clicked on "E:", because that is my CD drive (I have A C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J and K drive… yeah, excessive), and it whirred and churned, and decided to give me an error. I said "Bother", and tried again - same result. "Bugger". I tried again, and here is a list of what I said, in rough chronological order:

"Maybe the CD is scratched."

"Hmm, it should work…"

"Hmm"

"What if I clean it…"

"Shit"

"Fu.. Oh, it's working!"

So kiddies, when RA2 isn't working, use Safedisc!(http://www.macrovision.com/products/safedisc/downloads.shtml) - yes, it's shitmail.
