My computer (The one with the video card problems, *it's in one of my previous blogs*) is FAIL!!!!!!
Well, here's a brief list of things that have gone wrong with it:1. Sound only coming out of one speaker (Some problem with the sound card processing sterio).2. Sound not coming out at all (the BIOS was damaged, oh teh noez!!!)3. A trojan which fucked up my internet connection and then slowed the computer to a crawl.4. In the process of deleting the virus, the computer refused to exit "safe mode", which is a problem unless you like 8-colour 640*480 resolution.5. My user profile getting corrupted (how the fuck did THAT happen?!?!?!)6. Getting a massive virus from downloading illegal software (it really does come back to haunt you.)7. The computer guy deleting MS paint, calculator, cookies, my internet connection etc. and then claiming to have deleted the virus.Wow, that's kinda big for a list…… Question: Should I get a new computer bearing in mind that I only have 1100 bucks, and I'm saving up to buy a PS3…. only 100 to go (NZ prices suck).
get 2 computers
The stuff the computer guy deleted can be easily retrieved..
No, don't get a new computer. Get a fresh OS. I recommend Kubuntu. Or if you must have GM, <a href="http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116059">clicky</a>.
I remember sending you Paint…
The sound coming out of only one speaker could be a loose wire in the speaker or a problem with your cables. With my surround sound something happened to the front speaker cable which stopped it from working which really sucks because the voices in movies come out the front speaker :/
This is what you explainedYou should take care of that…When your computer boots up it looks for that trojan which has been installed at such a root level it wont let your OS boot up without it. You need to put the files back where you deleted them and delete the trojan while running windows normally or by a process that completely gets rid all traces of it.no idea…GET A VIRUS SCANNERyou can get all those things back…get a new computer…1. No bad downloading
2. You actually used calculator?3. Get a good comp to begin with that won't have any problems that way you won't have to deal with this.the sound problem was not a loose wire, I checked everything, it was fixed by running a sound editing program, I have no idea how that works, but it must change the default way the computer processes it.
I do have a virus scanner, but the virus just sorta snuck in before I could do anything about it, and stopped me from taking action.Fortunately, all problems are now fixed, and after reinstalling the .NET framework and a few system files which were causing BSOD errors, I'm restoring all my files.Thank freaken god! - except he doesn't exist. You could easily get a decent computer for $1100
