I mean all you do is learn what had happened. I don't see much use of this or even why you would learn it. The only reason is that I'm going to be a teacher, be a historian, etc(basically jobs that use histroy). It's pointless for me and so I'm hating it. It's required so, I have to keep with it.
What I hate even more is that I have a test where I have to remember every country/state in Africa and their capita;l. (100+ easily) The way I see it, pointless use of memorization unless we want to learn geography. I'm hating this part of the test and that is the only thing I hate. I mean we should have options of what we have to do for our careers. Plus I already know the basics of scripting so I can easily start learning C++. Tell me when I'm going to need to know where is Niger is from NIgeria in game making? Just about never. So…. any ideas for memorizations? Yes, we have word banks to use because it would suck to memorize all 200+ names.
THose who don't know history are doomed to repeat it.

you forgot to quote Benjamin Franklin >_>
if you're retarded, what that means is if you don't know the past, the future will strike you with thatWhat is the point of taking Calculus? Less than 1% of people need to use it on a regular basis in their adult lives, yet you have to take it in high school or college.
"One of the lessons of history is that nothing is often a good thing to do and always a clever thing to say."
Will Durant (1885 - 1981)^I agree
It's all part of training you up for pub quiz's.
"And the final question; What is the capital of Niger?"See look, you'll be set :)I agree with yo;u zagster. History is pointless to me unless its the history of gome design ( but even that is pretty pointless).
