EDIT: CHECK OUT THE PAGE AND DOWNLOAD THE NEW DEMO W/ THE LEVEL DESIGNERKickstarter | FacebookPlease support me in actually DOING SOMETHING with my skills and releasing a high quality game on multiple platforms.
The game seems like a "mindless-zombie-shooter" at first because initially, that's what it is. As you gain experience points through playing the game, you will be able to unlock new gameplay customization options that will allow you to completely change the way the game plays.Slow paced avoidance.Blazing fast run-n-gun.Exploration-focused side scroller. It is LITERALLY what you make it to be.Please share my Kickstarter Page (Level Designer UP)

if you could not tell, i like to read speculative fiction.
I have no idea what you were trying to say here, umbra! :P
UNASHAMED BUMP: DEMO IS OUT! http://kck.st/ZPPAWY
Fast zombies are OP.
Try arc-ing your path - they're faster than you, but you can outwit them.
The problem was moreso that they came out of nowhere when I was facing the other direction and killed me before I could react. This was the only way I died.
Otherwise this is shaping up nicely, but I hope there's going to be significantly more content.http://www.twitch.tv/strange_gecko#2020
Strange Gecko is livestreaming my game! This is strange and awesome! :Dinvincible mode more like zombie hug and party mode where you're the one being hugged and the center of attention. gotta watch out for the green stalker zombies
the machine gun thing is underpowered and shakes way too much and is useless. the pistol is nice and op but has low ammo so it's ok. maybe make the other guns besides the pistol stronger and give the pistol more ammo and make the machine gun appear less often than other wepsalso some of the bullets go past zombies (maybe do line collision instead of sprite collision idk how you're checking this)also I want a mode where zombies spawn fast so in invincible mode I can have all the zombie friends for my zombie party fasteralso could you add modes were a bunch of zombies spawn at different spots in groups or make them like stages that you can complete waves? Thanks for the feedback! In the full version, there will be a level editor where you can define spawn points with specific rates, types, etc.
If you "burst fire" the assault rifle, it's actually useful! I have been contemplating upping the damage though…The only time a bullet goes past a zombie is when it isn't actually "in-line". So, sometimes, when you're actually further down than the zombie, it may "appear" to look like you've hit it, but it actually has gone past. There's kind of a depth effect going on."Zombie Hug Party"Some things:
- Shooting zombies can be kind of tricky due to the depth thing, plus I'm not sure where to shoot the zombie as a result. Got used to it after a while though. - Player hitbox seems a lot bigger than the zombie hitbox - such that just brushing the edge of a zombie kills me, whereas I'll fire a shotgun into an approaching zombie's face at point blank range, miss, and die. A little frustrating - I actually like the small zombie hitboxes, but I can't dodge their running skills like they can dodge my bullets? Double standards yo. - Player dudebro is an idiot who seems to have no concept of reloading. Also he went out into a field with only shorts on (presumably to make it so he could run and dodge better), but still has all the maneuverability of a guy in full tac gear. With a 40lb pack. Like seriously. What the heck dudebro. I guess you're some macho football player who thinks he can just go out and fight zombies in his underpants, but the least you could do is turn faster than a drunk cow this isn't football you shouldn't be running headlong into the opposing team geez. - Timer seems to have no purpose at the moment - it runs out, but the zombies still keep coming…Frustrations aside, I rather like what you have so far. There were some really fun moments when I would be dodging through openings in the horde to grab a weapon (and actually didn't die), and overall the combat feels viscerally desperate. To the point where it was reminiscent of my experiences playing Humans vs Zombies on-campus, which is…interesting, in that I don't think any other zombie shooter I've played has evoked that association. Honestly, the customization aspect isn't the best selling point for me on this at the moment. It's kinda fun to toy with, and having giant zombie group hugs was mildly amusing, but really I'd rather have something like a more interesting environment. Or I guess the ability to customize the terrain. Heh.
