EDIT: CHECK OUT THE PAGE AND DOWNLOAD THE NEW DEMO W/ THE LEVEL DESIGNER

Kickstarter | Facebook

Please support me in actually DOING SOMETHING with my skills and releasing a high quality game on multiple platforms.

The game seems like a "mindless-zombie-shooter" at first because initially, that's what it is. As you gain experience points through playing the game, you will be able to unlock new gameplay customization options that will allow you to completely change the way the game plays.

Slow paced avoidance.

Blazing fast run-n-gun.

Exploration-focused side scroller.

It is LITERALLY what you make it to be.

Thanks for the in depth look! :D

I'll look into the hitboxes - they seemed VERY accurate to me with my experience, but I'll check just incase.

The player and the zombies actually use the same exact hitbox… :P

The controls will actually have a bit of leeway in the final version but I'll also look into this for now. They felt REALLY smooth to me, but I'll try to see it from fresh eyes.

Yeah, I'll make sure to add that and a screen that keeps track of some of your stats when you die in the next demo. I plan to have 3 demos. Two early, and one almost final.

:D

I hate to be a spammy asshole, but nobody is backing the project, but 130 people liked it so I'm really confused.

This is an attempt at a reminder for those who may have wanted to back but didn't because they didn't get paid? Thx <3

Just backed you. Had no money when you first posted this, but got paid a couple days ago. Best of luck!

I really really want to like this idea, Acid, but I don't. I feel as if you're trying to ask for money too early in development. The game seems like it could have been thrown together fairly quickly and your goal is very vague (in my opinion). I would really suggest you spend a couple of months at least creating something we can see and see how awesome it is first, if you did that then I would 100% back you on kickstarter.

Not trying to be a douche, just trying to be honest :/

I appreciate your honesty here. (Lately I have seen a lot of what you've said to people as kind of off, but this makes a lot of sense and doesn't come off douchey at all.)

I was trying to show off a prototype to display the value, but I can see how I may not have presented the idea correctly. I was talking to Arc about this too.

I'm working on a redesign that could possibly change your view, but we'll just have to see. I know it's early in development, but I'm looking to get funds for the licenses and tools NOW so I don't waste unnecessary time.

Either way though, this game is getting made. It might just take a while longer.

Updated with a new video to make the game look more fun. :P

not everyone has money; also I may be able to back it if I borrow money and then pay it back since I have a paid internship this summer so I have some moneys to pour into ur handz

I was also planning on making a tumblr post using fake mspaint psuedo powerpoint slides.

I finally got around to watching your Kickstarter video. Love the idea. I don't have much to give so my contribution is small, but I do hope it gets funded.

I will be able to play this on a Mac… right?

Acid 11 years, 6 months ago

@cyrus: What exactly do you mean by that?

@poly: Eventually, yes. I need a Mac to compile the game. I have a couple of friends who said I could borrow theirs, but I have a Macbook tier because I would really like to be able to work on the game and do regular bugfixes for Mac ON a Mac. But I might have to just settle for ChIkEn's suggestion.

He's right, you are pretty early in production for a kickstarter. Conceptually it sounds like you're pretty far along but flashiness is definitely important to getting noticed.
