Just recently i remember somebody (who shalt remain nameless), saying that people generally come to 64digits to download games. That statement seemed entirely plausible until i noted the fact that my example RTS movement had already reached 50 downloads in the span of hmmmm 1.5 days. It was then that i noticed on average that examples has approx. double the number of downloads as the games do. You could put this down to there being less examples but i think it shows us a good trend within the Gamemaking community, we arent just consumers…. we want to create and appreciate what other have created at a different level by involving our own inspiration. And inorder, to do this we must learn from the examples and techniques explored by our predecessors.
hmmm….. rambling goodness…..In other news, i've been really snowed under with assignments, i've had 3 assignments (chemistry, physics, maths) due this week, all of which i only had a week to do and no these arent those weak high school assignments, im in year 12 aka last year of school before i go to university (college for our USA brethren). In fact i should be finishing off an assignment on quantum computers right as we speak, so ill blame 64digits if i get a bad mark….XD.
lol NOOOO Dont blame 64D!!!!!
Anyway, thats pretty interesting that examples have more downloads than games. Good luck with your assignments [:D]yeah my examples get downloads way more often than my games.
I might have to start making examples then [:)]
64d people are more willing to learn from others.
