I'm using RPG Maker VX for my game, and I must say it's kind of cool! Obviously the title to my game is Legends of Myths A Faded Lineage. I've got a female main character (Arabella) supported by several others, one is a male vampire (Vincent). These two develope a romance together…but can it last? The world is called "Fayte" made up with several continents but are referred to as "regions", i.e. "northern region, western region". A unique skill system I thought of for Vincent is called his "soul" skill, basically when you defeat a living creature there's a random chance that it will drop a soul orb item after which Vincent can "absorb" to gain the creature's ability for him to use. There's also soul orbs that can raise his attributes.There are a few evil villains that wreak havoc in the world, a group called "The Three". The Three are essentially the "dark spawns" from the dark emporer and have supernatural abilities. They are aiding the evil Baron Skylos to help resurrect the ancient war-like race, the Ragori. The Ragori were created by the God out of jealousy because the Goddess became close to the human race of Fayte.I'll update this later and provide some screenshots, hopefully!
The image above is the first town you'll start in, it's called "Von Sol".Here are some drawings I made for enemies that appear in some random battles: Left: One Eyed, center: Ravenous Arachnid, right: Vulture.
I like the name of the world - Fayte! The game sounds interesting. And a romance too! I'm looking forward to seeing some screenshots :)
I'm just going to calmly point out that there's already a game called Dungeons of Fayte. Oh, and "Legend of Myths" sounds over-the-top cliche. And the plot sounds supiciously Twilight.

Stop posting 'RPG Maker? :(' on every post about it.Chances are, I'll be using Ace, considering I just bought it.The RPG Maker tools are powerful enough to create a very, very good game, and theres absolutely nothing wrong with using it.Good luck, man.This is my first time using RPG Maker and I like it. I've also thought of this plot and ideas over 10 yrs ago. I have two notebooks full of notes, scribbles, drawings and such. I'm just kind of excited to try and bring it to life! All I want is for it to be enjoyable no matter what. :)
"Legends of Myths" is redundant and, like Cesque pointed out, very cliche. And the ability to absorb souls from an enemy to obtain skills isn't exactly unique, either. I've seen it used in the same form many times.

Well the title is a little lame lol. I have been thinking about changing it to, Sword of Sol, perhaps? It is a weapon in the game that you get, but you need to locate the fragments and then have it reforged. Hmm…maybe I'll change it to that.
