That Xbox reveal was underwhelming to say the least. Used game fee? Forget about it. They're going to see that's a mistake. In fact, during the reveal, Nintendo and Sony saw an increase in their stock value, while Microsoft took something of a fall on theirs.
No backward compatibility, the TV supposedly requires a separate device to do it, and you have to pay a fee to authorize use of a game on another console. If that isn't digging a grave for a console, I don't know what is. I see no reason to not get a PS4 instead, other than the fact that it's not backward compatible either, and I still want a PS3 for a lot of JRPGs I've missed out on. Maybe even the Wii U will go places in a year, and it'll find success, like the 3DS did (I got my 3DS a few months ago, and I absolutely love it).EDIT: So, that's where all the applause was coming from:EDIT AGAIN: From a Kaz Hirai parody Twitter account, proof that the PS4 is better. What are your thoughts on this upcoming generation?
I'm interested in how many get the RROD. I love Halo, Gears of War, and Fable, but I'm not putting up with RROD crap again… and also what Kilin said about Xbox Gold Membership.
Does the new Xbox even have a ring?
I still think RROD was a planned bug created to sell more boxes.
They seemed awfully prepared for the entire situation.:ConspiracyTheory:Didn't the rrod issue have to do with a bad solder on the gpu or mobo? I heard that a while back, dunno if it was true or not, and yea. Sketchy companies planning these things, dunno why they'd risk ruining their reputation (like it did) though.
Kinda like how Playstation2 shipped with all kinds of "Disk read error" messages and then two years later we get the "slim" proper working version. :P
I don't remember having that problem with the original ps2. I guess that made me one of the lucky ones. I still think the ps2 has one of the best library of games.. ever, basically.
I only got disc read errors with certain blue discs/CD-ROMs on my PS2.
Also, Wii U sales boosted by 875% following the Xbox One reveal on Amazon UK.Everybody buy the original Xbox, confuse the s*** out of Microsoft :P
The 360 had many RROD errors. One of the common errors of death was the soldering. A lead free soldering was used.
More importantly, a lead free solder was used badly.
