So… I have a story for you:
Last night, at some unhallowed hour, I was coding. Whilst coding I quickly made a text RPG in 10 minutes. According to the log I wrote, it is:
Quote:
What'll really happen if you could go on a dungeon crawl.
When I enter my race, I press enter and then it just makes a newline character…
This amused me a bit. Tiny things EXPLODE.
I hated being laughed at in this game ;_;
Still pretty cool though.You should add a monster type "racist XYZ" which laughs at you racistly.
What did you make it in?made an rpg in 10 minutes? I'll check this out, asssaaaapp
"You're a cheeky bastard…. OK. Got that."
"You lash out violently with your spleen."Is this C++? I would recommend using getline. Get goes to the first space. I couldn't put in "Master Spark" for my destructive spell.I may be confused though, not necessarily an expert at C++, but I do know there are a few functions that operate better than others.That was kind of fun, though.Yes, I used C++. Also, I should've used better input, but I was kinda in a bad state when I made this.
And as for race, it is one word. It's actually Race+Type (Therefore a Furry Warrior, Cyrus :P)Anyway, I'm polishing this up a bit… The enemies are all randomly generated from a batch of names, using another batch of adjectives and finally a list of actions, hence the Exploding Tiny Thieves etc. What I'm doing now is loading the lists from text files, so people can just add new lines to the file to create new 'enemies'.Ack, I have to install Winrar again to unzip it :|
Really pumped about this though :DCyrus, you dumbass, everything reminds me of Touhou.
