No, I'm not blogging about anything weird… I'm about to introduce you to one of the most awesome Sh'mups I have ever seen.
Fraxy is an innovative shooter, where you get to design the enemies you fight from a parts bank. Look at what I made:
Basically, you have a typical spacecraft, it's tiny, etc. (In that shot, my ship is just about to be swiped by the Left Wing Claw. It's difficult to take screenshots while trying to dodge giant dragons).The game is free, small (Just under 4mb), and undeniably addicting.Download So, Unaligned came up with the idea on IRC to have a Mini Compo, and we decided to have two categories: Design and Efficiency. In the Design category, you must design the coolest/prettiest looking Boss you can with a limited number of parts (60 for this one).The Efficiency Category is all about making a well designed boss. Not one that can pulverize the player without the player standing a chance, but a boss that can pulverize the player, yet still allow the player to gain victory if they can think fast enough. This game reminds me of Warning Forever and Fractal Fighter somewhat.
