I must say this: My version of GM8 has been downgraded back to LITE.
Good thing is, I don't care! I'm using my game engine now for… everything.Anyway, without much to say, I decided that an update is in order for my list of projects.HYDRA EngineMy pride and joy, and one of the worst documentation jobs I've ever faced…The only part of the docs that I'm planning on adding right now is the introductory tutorial project, which is a top-down SHMUP.Another problem with HYDRA right now is that I need to standardize my naming conventions. At first, I was naming things Object, Graphic, Model, etc. Now I'm adding a special prefix, like hyObject, etc. Also, the method names need to be standardized… A pleasant job to say the least…Anyway, if anybody wants to try the engine out when I've written the tutorial, PM me…Scourge EngineDiscontinued, because HYDRA can do both 3D and 2D, or both.RoguelikeBack to it's First Person roots, and I'm basing the gameplay more on Daggerfall than on ADOM.Other stuffEhh…. I'm making a platformer with original graphics, original music and Megaman gameplay. With HYDRA. Got all the basics working (can load levels, run around in them, climb ladders, etc.)That's all for now.
Oh yes, forgot to mention that HYDRA has a migration header for GM users.
Basically gives you the functions like keyboard_check, place_free, and constants like view_xview, vk_left, etc.It works well enough that I have been porting parts of my platformer to HYDRA using Copy+Paste!Technical document is forthcoming, and perhaps a game made with the engine.hmm i may wanna see what this "hydra" stuff is your talking about =P
if it's easy i'll try it xDalso when you get the character design for your MM game, you gotta shows me =3
