This was one of those weekends when I wasn't using the 'net, mostly due to my family hogging the PC. And my dad discovered Minecraft yesterday; hence: Nobody got their time on the computer (Until much later).
I'm sooo glad I have my own computer, or I'd be going mad. v_v'Speaking of Minecraft, my seven-year old brother discovered an obscure/weird bug. Simply put: Open your inventory while falling asleep, and you'll see ol' Steve lying down on the inventory screen, usually overdrawing the crafting grid/items.Heh. Anyways, as usual on the weekends I do things. Usually programming, some art and some music. So here's what I have to show for it:DOS VGA ProgrammingHere, have some stills of a Plasma effect (With two different formulae):I love messing around with Mode 13h; it's the ideal graphics mode: Paletted, fast, easy to access. Loads of fun <3Anybody want me to write some DOS programming tutorials? :PSome artThe 64RPG art updates are on my 64RPG art blog page. Here is a bottle of Mega Acid. Mix 1 part Mega Acid with 1 part JuJu to get SpectreNectar, which summons FirestormX (RawrSpoon not included).Wild Rez' may drop JuJu, but it's a 2/100 chance; the rest of the time they drop paintingsIf you think it looks suspiciously like a badge, that's because it might be. >;3In other news, I've been spriting a bit in general. Made a new avatar to rest your tired eyes from the current one:The loop delays on that are slightly messed up, but I don't feel like editing a 152 frame GIF just to change the rates. The 'bot that the guy in the sprite changes into is a rendition of that character I made for that XNA platformer I'm still working on. A great programming resourceWhile stumbling around the net, keyboard in one hand and a mug of coffee in the other, I discovered a great old site, now archived. I suggest you wget it, because it contains a huge number of articles, with introductions to software rendering, 3D theory, general C/C++ tricks, BSP rendering, Octrees; in short: Useful stuff.http://www.flipcode.comwget -nc – http://www.flipcode.com/ for great justice.About that…Curse PY for introducing me to wget. 3GB of saved sites is crazy! :3At least I think it was PY, who hasn't been around recently… again…Wish I'd thought to wget the V4 directory…Here, have some musicI started, and finished, not just one, but three brand new chiptunes this weekend. Wonder how that happened? *takes another swig of Mega Acid*http://soundcloud.com/mega1992/ultima-red-towerhttp://soundcloud.com/mega1992/ultima-crashOh yeah, here's my Ultima album on ChipMusic:http://chipmusic.org/64mega/music/mini-album---ultimaThat's my latest four tracks, in NSF format. Enjoy. And that should be everything…Owait…Part three of my C tutorialsEverybody thought I'd forgotten about these, right? If you did, have a cookie, because you're about 64% right. They'd been pushed to the backburner. Have some tutorial with that cookie.http://www.64digits.com/users/Mega/03_-_Beginning_to_work_with_C_part_22.pdfNow I'm sure that's everything this time. Heh. :3Also, let's see if my pre-calculated image links work this time <3
Some might say "Mega" is an overused username, but you do seem to suit it extremely well, with your mega work ethic, retro stylings and avatar that looks like megaman.
I declare you The One True Mega.I agree. XD
Further is clearly the best track.
