Shadows, that I made…

Regrettably, I forgot to put the screenshots on my Flash-drive. So I'll update those tomorrow.

Frankly, I've made no progress at all on my game; which is OK by me. I've got more important things to worry about at the moment.

But I have been brushing up on my 3D rendering tricks.

So far, here's what I have:

> Cheap and fake radial blur (Which makes great shiny lightsources, and can do for quick/fake bloom).

> Lightmap and shadowmap structures (Haven't implemented them yet).

> Sphere mapping (To make metallic/shiny objects)

> Antialiasing

> Multi-texturing (I should've gotten started with this ages ago).

Saving the world

I started playing Chrono Trigger again, albeit the DS version. Still best time-travel RPG ever. Radiant Historia can go crawl into a ditch and die. (Yes, I have played it).

The only problem with CT is that it's getting too easy for me. I haven't had a single Game Over screen (Highly unusual), and this isn't a New Game+ either.

Ah well, I must be getting better at RPG's. Time to play a Low Level Game.

Anyway, if any of you have not played Chrono Trigger…

Got a call yesterday asking if I could ferry a Mac 150km away, petrol and meals included besides pay. Pity I didn't have a car, nor the drivers license.

The other day, I got called asking for help setting up an e-mail account.

Not too long before that I was fixing some PC or the other.

Seems I've found myself some work while I wait for something big to happen. :P

Anyway… I need to write a long blog again, with lots of screenshots, and interesting topics. But I'm too tired at the moment. See you all again soon.

Edit: Oh damn. I left my canned update blog on my other USB drive. Curse you Juriaanchi, you planned this. :P

time-travel RPG you say? sounds interesting, i've downloaded Chrono Trigger's ROM before but i never got around to playing it. (i kinda got sucked into Secret of Mana 3.. until my computer crashed and i lost my save file T_T)

glad to see you making a blog for the sake of it at least, this place has been kinda slow lately =)

I've not played it either; but JRPG's aren't my bag.

Really I just don't like anything Japanese Pop-Culture; I just can't take it seriously.

But from what I've seen, Chrono Trigger isn't as retarded as most JRPGs, so I might give it a try at some point.

Chrono Trigger is a damn good RPG, if you haven't played it and you are remotely interested in RPGs, you must play it asap.

Best RPG ever, from my point of view. I can't get into any of the other jRPG's as well as I can get into this.

This. And please note the lack of a J preceding the RPG. It might be a Japanese game, but it's lacking of most of the typical Pop-culture additions that annoy some players. Heck, they even have normal hairstyles.

EDIT: Just realized that the Active Users list does what it should: Display only the active users. Amusing.

That's funny because I accidently deleted all of the screenshots for my game project because I forgot what I had named them.

I'm not actually trying to upstage you in terms of large blogs, but it's motivating to pretend that I am.

I don't understand why I've never played Chrono Trigger. Although I do have 7 other JRPGs to get through.
