Since I missed out on Ludum Dare...

I'm making another game; originally intended as a low-res GM game in NES style. Typical Mega, right?

So, first note my new avatar, then note this:

Yup, So much for simplicity.

Anyway, that character is fully animated, and I did the usual timelapse showing me make the basic game. I'll upload that this evening, perhaps.

Watch this space.

From NES-style 2D to Ps2-style 2D in the course of [some time]. I like the way you make that [tile] pixel art look like it's made in Photoshop. Or maybe it's just the resolution of this PC making it appear slightly blurry.

Thanks. And that was from NES->PS/PS2 in about an hour.

Also, I did all the art in GM's sprite editor.

Yaru: Right click and show the image. It's slightly wider than blog space so it's not shown in full size. Should make it look sharper. :3

looking good (so far). needs a background and some foreground elements that pop out. since it's sci-fi like you NEED lasers and electric shit. (that's a rule in sci-fi)

Killer graphics. Looks like a Megaman game.

Which is from my very limited experience with Megaman games.

The graphics look great, except for the tiles. They are too repetitive. More variation would make it look 10x better.

'course it does. I want Jacob's ladders, 80's era blinky computer panels, gears, steam engines, and all sorts of things. I just didn't have the time; this represents about 1 hour 20 minutes worth of work on my part, total.
