Took me long enough. Involved my dad soldering 8 distinct pieces of cable into one. About 30 meters of insulated copper later and my computer is finally connected to the internet again… and I mean my computer….
My desktop. Still as functional as everAvert eyes from the taskbarWell. Of course, since my computer has nearly been disconnected for two years (Not counting the two times I connected it to 'update' everything), everything on the system now wants to update itself… at the same time. So most of my day has been spent staring at very slow progress bars. Woot.Oh, my competition entry… it's coming along slowly. I decided to go for a simple weapons system, and a Mario 2 style 'pick up and throw' system for certain blocks. No vegetables here though (I'm thinking more along the lines of picking up tombstones and bricks). Here's the game room, sans any player code (Yet):On that note, I finally managed to activate GM 8.1. I thought it was giving trouble when it wouldn't do it… until I just happened to open Internet Explorer for the first time in a decade and noticed it was stuck in Offline mode. Stupid excuse for a browser messing up my plans… *grumbles*Well, I'll just leave this here and wait impatiently for Minecraft to update, Steam to do the same, and Wireshark to download…. I hate waiting…
I really like your art style. Good job.
I just used Wireshark for the first time a couple days ago. Nifty little program.
I like your art style for the environment. Especially that tree sitting in the middle…for some reason I can't stop staring at it…Thanks, both of you.
Art trivia: That's all drawn bound to strict four-colors-per-tile limits. Similar to the NES technical limitations, but I relaxed a bit after I found the style I wanted. Still: I could've done that tree on the NES :PYou downloaded "Roller Coaster Tycoon".
I'm calling the FBI.Also: Very cool game broskinot a game yet :P
if all the things we posted here were games… we'd have a lot more great games to play.looking cool though. the dirt/rock tiles are a bit of an eye-sore though. you can notice the grid like pattern too easily.@svf: Hey, I payed for that. The FBI can wait 'til I'm done with it. :3
@death: I noticed. I'm making some variations and trying to make a seamlessly tiling version, but it's not a priority, as I have another couple of tilesets to make for my levels.Roller Coaster Tycoon? Fuck yeah, best game ever.
@Rob. Indeed, it's such a good classic!
@Mega. As they say! #YOLO; It's from a different blog…. ;-;
