Figures I'd start one of these; I have no excuse now that I have a tablet :D
So far, it's proven to be a joy to use. All the benefits of using an actual pencil and paper, but with the undo feature a computer provides. I'm thinking of sketching something on a pretty regular basis. Tonight I did this:And last night I did a little cartoon dog :PI also discovered that I can play Solitaire quite effectively with the tablet. I was critically bored while waiting for something to finish downloading.More images to come.EDIT 1:Obligatory Megaman Fan-art:
Thanks :P
I tend to choose from the blue/purple side of the color picker when I'm drawing anything remotely metallic in nature. Blue because gray is boring, and purple because it's my favorite color :PI like ur dog, looks like a Pikachu dog lol. It has a huge ear
Also, ur first sketch looks amazing. Is that one character from a game ur making? It's an evolution of my old avatar, which is by extension a character from a game I was making ages ago:
Character's name is Hunter Octave. The avatar is like a Monet, a bit messy when you look closely, but very nice when viewed form a far (or shrinked), because of the nice colors, contrasts and reflections. Good job!
I recommend using some nice brush and dynamics to give it a bit more "hand-painted" feel. In gimp, if that's what you're using, I like to use brush "Oils#x" along with brush dynamics "Pencil Generic/Shader". :)Thanks! I was surprised that it came out so well after downsizing it, given that it was a rush job. :P
Heh, I tried out Paint Tool SAI for this, but it was just a rough sketch :PA few sketches I was doing early this morning I did with GIMP, and yeah, the Oil brushes and Pencil Generic brush dynamic are what I stuck with.Bumping this blog for raisins.
