some men just want to watch the world learn.

so here we are, a civilized race. One child for every parent, one nuclear family, we are a race of educated people. we have lots of money, crime is down, income is up, happiness all around.

We are a perfect, happy, race, that operates without a hitch; well, maybe we have a fault, but a single fault, It's nothing big. It's just that i have not spoken of the race, but the ideal.

Ask pretty much any one, how society should be, and you get will get at least one of the traits, as described above.

let us take a quick course here; Ideal - A principal or value that one actively pursues as a goal.

We can then say, that as a civilization, we should be striving, we should be working towards the highest, we should be working towards this ideal.

let's go back on course here; Ideal - Ideals are important in our system, and studies of ethics, as they show us the value of an idea, and the priority we assign to it.

Let us imagine a scenario, picture it in your head; you hate to lie, but you are required to be dishonest, otherwise, your friend will suffer some form of misfortune.

Say, you are hooked up to a lie detector, while your best of friends, is hooked up to en electric chair.

You are told that if you lie, your friend is to be released, and if you were to tell the truth, your friend would receive a shock.

Most of you, or at least, the less zealous of you, would certainly be willing to lie in order to make sure your friend evades harm; Stays safe.

From this, we could say that not only is friendship held as an ideal, but that it is held up higher than honesty.

going back to the statements i presented earlier, we say that a civil, successful race is an ideal of society today; we, as a society, should be actively striving towards this ideal; we aren't.

Civilization today is detracting, shifting away from the views of this ideal, we find we can no longer call this an ideal, we must call it a utopian image, or a utopia, a higher society, far beyond us.

but then that raises another question. This higher society, beyond us, why can't we actively work to achieve this?

We should be able to make this, first, into an ideal, and then into a reality, but instead, we work as an entropic society; we work only in our own pursuit, no matter how menial.

some people ask why, and strive to change, but then within a day, they'd find themselves caught back in routine; doing the same thing as the day before, the same thing as the day before that.

Let me ask you a question; Don't answer, just think, ponder this thought, and ask yourself; What will you be doing today? What about tomorrow? One year from today, what will you be doing?

there may be some small changes, but for most of you, nothing big remains changed.

How about another one.

Are you happy? in the time space of one year, do you expect to become happy?

now, try to think about what you do in your spare time.

your hobby, it doesn't excite you, you don't truly find it to be fun, it just fills a void; the space between when you go to work, and when you go to sleep.

I woke up yesterday, two feet on the ground, in a cold sweat.

I woke up today, two feet on the ground, in a cold sweat.

Tomorrow, i'm going to wake up, two feet on the ground, cold sweat.

of course, this is all pragmatics; separated from the grammar,

theory and ideas, separated from our modern world.

There are a few things i would like you to take out of this.

The first idea is that, although if you try real hard, you may not change a thing, how much do you expect to accomplish, to change, from doing nothing?

Here's a quote

"Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle, do not deserve to live."

-Teddy bear Roosevelt

If it helps, think this.

"Those who want change, let them to fight for it, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle, do not deserve the change that others may bring."

The second idea, is that you can't hope for something, anything, without some effort at obtaining it.

If you want something, you must try to get it.

You will never get anything by holding back.

The third, and last idea i can be bothered writing, is that you should examine your priorities. Whatever you do, make sure it is worth it, and make sure you can look back and live with it.

Make sure you don't live in regret.

Oh, and that quote was Adolph Hitler. don't feel bad though, that doesn't make it any less valid.

Don't pay much attention to this though, this is only the ramblings of a fool.

Welcome to 64d, please leave your sanity in the red box by the…

Oh what's that, you lost your sanity already?

That was well written, but I would like to add something:

There are those who still would not like this ideal, many who would fight to keep it from coming about. In light of this and any change you want to make, you cannot do it alone. You cannot cut yourself off from the world and still want to change it. Even if you want to change something about yourself, you will find the struggle bearable with another soul at our side.

This.

Also, Hitler had lots of quotes and rhetoric, and ambitious plans. If it wasn't for the whole nazi thing, he would have probably gone down in history the way we think of people like Alexander the Great. (Well, maybe that's a bit exaggerated)

I skimmed through some parts.

People dont want to work towards a higher society because of fear. But I think at some point a nation will decide they want to go for it and set the example.

Just like the US set the example for a 'free' and 'just' society based on capitalism, but that came with a lot of downfalls too, as it is very hard to make things fair. Socialism tried to make things fair, but turned out to not work out too well.
