Yes, ColumnsX is "somewhat related to" Tetris, just like all fighting games are "somewhat related to" Street Fighter. Seriously, by this logic, King of Fighters, Tekken, Soul Calubur{sp?} and any fighting game can be called a clone of Street Fighter because characters face each other, they have health bars, show off special combo moves, etc.
Then again, racing games can all be called clones of each other given they have the same perspectives (1st or 2rd Person), push a button to accelerate, have laps and must pass opponents.You see where I'm going with this?Yes, but read the title. "It's GENERIC when" aka, sure, all fighting games are generic, sure, all racing games are generic, all sport games are SUPER generic (nothing really new for each installment).
