I' have been working on the Long March and made an excutable of where I'm currently up to (v0.6).
(check out my Games section to dl)This is a screenshot from one of the levels:I still need to make a few more levels, create two more bosses and maybe make some improvements to current levels. Also I plan on making a tutorial level as right now you have to read the game info to learn the controls.v0.6 release notes:-Hero can freely move and shoot (rifle, grenade, machine gun, bazooka)-Four types of enemies + boss-Both overhead and platform shooter levels (total of 8)-New swamp terrain at level 8-Three cutscenes + quiz-Variety of items-Save checkpoint at middle of levelPlease comment on errors, bugs and possible improvements so I can keep editing to perfect it!
It looks as if you based it of the platform example (the satus box in the top left looks like the platform example one except edited)(not saying thats a bad thing, snce my game Pilot, is based of the asteroids example)
Apart from that, it looks quite good!Keep working on it!@RetroVortex: lol i think that's a coincidence, the codings are original. but the resources…hehe most of them are resourced yup ^^;;;
it was a speedily done project since there was a deadline, so the graphics r all resource packs
i posted it as a WIP and a few gave me low ratings becoz it's a communist-point-of-view game and has resourced sprites.
wth? and how the hell is this an RTS? o_O is it THAT bad to use gmaker resources in games?I have no problem with commies, but I do have problems with the game. I do think the Mini-Map is a good idea for that round, but the second level where it's a platform is messed up. First of all, you die in one hit regardless, so life is kinda pointless. Well, that's my point of view.
actually, u can take two hits for bullets, but u'll die if u touch the moving enemies or an explosion. after playing it over and over u'll being to know where enemies are which makes it easier to dodge bullets (also get a hang of the timing between bullets).
but yes, i will make the window larger so u can see further.Tested it. It's brilliant!
