Lixie meme

Posted by Castypher on May 25, 2008, 10 a.m.

I really have no idea how you guys turned lixies into a meme. I mean here I am talking about a life simulation, pretty realistic as far as other worlds go, and you guys turn it into a mindless, pointless, SENSELESS chant. Not that I hate lixies being sort of popular…I just hate how you guys can never keep on topic with me.

Then there's that annoying page stretching involved. ._.

So onto better news. Kilin as a novel is going quite well. Can't say there's SIGNIFICANT progress, but it's something. Whenever I go out to see a related movie, I usually start developing ideas to resemble my favorite parts. My inspiration comes from something successful as well as dreams. That being said, you could see some unoriginal or similar content, but I try to do a good job disguising it.

I'm not really letting anyone read up on it so far, because the internet is the last place I'd ever trust someone with a novel. I'm just keeping you updated and trying to find some content to write a blog as I haven't for almost a week.

As far as games go, I've picked up Code Omega again. I'm making the story a little more interesting, as well as including a level or two.

That's all from me.

People don't steal novels, they want to listen to music, not read. That's why people pirate music.

Serprex, I don't mean they're going to steal everything you have. I mean they'll steal bits and parts. If someone used my character name, Kilin, I wouldn't be overjoyed, I'd be pissed as hell.

Writing isn't only a hobby, it's a decent way to make money if you're good at it. I don't want to get cheated out of a little income.

You have a source of inspiration. Why can't they? If someone writes a book inspired by your writing, what's wrong with that? We live in an odd world where ideas are held onto, instead of left to roam free and evolve into wonder

What? Who the hell called the RI-

Serprex, it's not a matter of inspiration, it's a matter of stealing characters, plot development, concept, and the like. Adapting a character to be exactly like someone else with the same name and all is what I'm worried about.

Kilin's afraid of fanfic?

I was not expecting such a serious-toned blog.

Although Kilin is being silly.

Give away everything you know, and more will come back to you.

Silly Kilin.

Well, you guys. In this world, everyone's out for themselves and don't really care about other people.

Other than that, you guys need to learn how to respect others' opinions. That's a quality you'd do well to have.

*sigh* If you're directing that comment at me, Kilin, then I just want to let you know that I'm not attacking your opinion on posting work on the internet. I'm merely giving you my own opinion. Take it easy.

Even if you do end up posting stuff, I really doubt that anyone would bother to really steal it. Don't take this the wrong way; I'm sure you're a good writer. It's just that I doubt a person will feel the need to steal/emulate your work. If that actually proves to be the case, it would be like a 1 in a million chance ;)
