For those of you who missed, this weekend onward has and will be hell for me. I've also seen a lot of people having issues meeting the current deadline. So rather than ending the competition and forcing you to wait to even judge, I'm instead extending the competition deadline.
I'm aware I said I wouldn't, and I've been edgy about doing this, but I need time to figure things out, so I'm going to award you all with an additional week to work. An entire week. That brings all your work time, excluding holidays, to pretty much a month. For those of you who are burnt out, are concentrating on the upcoming (or in my case, current) semester, or are even done, you may submit as normal and relax the rest of the time. To the rest, I urge you to focus on debugging and finishing your games. If you're close enough to done, you can add a little more or do some hefty polishing. Or, you could just take a break and finish later. A week is plenty of time, but don't wait until the end.Hell, if you didn't participate in the first place, maybe you can still make a short game. This also gives people a little more time to donate, and overall I think it should turn out for the better. After all, this is the winter competition, and it's still winter. That was another reason I didn't dub it the Christmas competition.I'll still try to be available for questions, but I'll just have my attention turned elsewhere. So as of today, you have until:January 10, Midnight GMT…to finish your games. Happy new year.(meeee tooooo)And if you want to donate…DONATE
thank you kilin. looks like I'll be un-dropping out now and finishing my F4D game.

Time to start from scratch on a new game… I haven't worked out any of the details, but I think it'll be called The Adventures of Dudeman Episode 2: the Dude Strikes Back.
oh shit does this mean I have to start making it again
I still won't finish mindWell that gives me time to fix up some pretty bad bugs in my entry.
I'm not making any promises but I'll give it another shot now.
Nice of you to extend the deadline. Unfortunately I won't be able to get to my PC until January 9th, so I probably won't have time to fix my game's problem by then.
I'll just have to hope I have better luck for the next competition.I'm sure you could ask for help, and people would give it. I don't think anyone here is a poor sport such that he can't help a fellow competitor. While the prizes remain as incentive, the competition is really just about having fun.
I'd hate to see anyone's work go to waste because of a few bugs.It won't go to waste just because it wasn't ready for the competition. I might be out of the running for the prizes, but I don't care about that anyway. I'll fix it and share it, even if it's past the competition deadline.
